Fr. Istafanous Shihātah priest of the Samalūt Diocese has opened the Church of Saint Karas in Ma’sarah, Minya .It has been shut down by security forces who were afraid that it would be attacked by extremists. The Church leadership continues its constructions to prepare it for prayer. The priest stated that the security forces accepted their request to reopen the church after the meeting that was held between him and General Muhammad Ibrāhīm, Minister of Interior last week (Nāddir Shukrī, Watanī, Sep. 30)
