The three Coptic church families [Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant] have started meetings to make suggestions for a new Church building law in order to submit it to the state in the coming period. Farīd al- Bayādī, member of the Evangelical Community Council, stated that it was agreed that each church puts its proposal and that a meeting will be held between the three churches. A draft proposal is to be submitted to the state within two weeks. Bayādī stated that the constitution has included a clause on issuing a church  building law, rather than a unified houses of worship law (Nagwá Bikhīyt, al- Dustūr, June 15, p. 5)
