Church sources stated that the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson, visited Two Saints Church in Alexandria yesterday (February 10) upon her request. Her visit was to follow up on the recent updates on the court case of the blast of Two Saints Church that occurred two years ago.

Nādir Marqus, member of the Coptic Orthodox al-Milī Council (Lay Council), said that the U.S. Ambassador took a tour at the sanctuary of the martyrs, who died in the blast, during her visit that took two hours.

Patterson expressed the U.S. Administration’s interest in the case and willingness to support it. She inquired about the recent updates on the court case (Rajab Ramadān, al-Misrī al-Yawm, Feb. 11, p. 15). Read original text in Arabic.
