Activists created a Facebook page in which they blamed spokesperson of the Coalition to Support New Muslims Husām Abū al-Bukhārī for statements he made on television about a Muslim convert detained in a church in Imbābah.

Activists argued that these statements have motivated salafīs to attack Imbābah churches.

The Coalition to Support New Muslims has quickly gained around 800 members since its recent establishment.
