In an interview with al-Ahrār, head of the new “al-Istiqāmah” party, ‘Ādil Fakhrī Dānyāl, said the Egyptian Party Affairs Committee’s approval of the new party under the current circumstances of threats to national unity is rather significant. He said he agrees that new places of worship should be built around the country, but only when enough bakeries are making affordable bread, clinics are offering free services, and food shops are selling at cost price.
