Over 4,000 protesters engaged in demonstrations outside the al-Qā’id Ibrāhīm Mosque in Alexandria yesterday, demanding the release of Kāmīliyā Shihātah and chanting against everyone responsible for her converting back to Christianity after announcing her conversion to Islam. The demonstrators were surrounded by state security to prevent them from expanding into surrounding streets.
