Wā’il says that he has found documents supporting his previous claims that the president of the Jewish Community in Egypt, Carmen Weinstein, is working towards one of Israel’s oldest goals of penetrating Egyptian society. Carmen issued a statement requesting the government only allow access to Egyptian synagogues after the Jewish Community’s approval and that failure to do so would result in the government being held responsible for any stolen valuables. Wā’il considers the statement to be a “dangerous threat”.
