The article opens with a word on the strength of national unity in Egypt and how Muslims and Christians alike would be willing to give their lives defending Egyptian churches against al-Qā‘idah. A number of leading Muslim and Christian figures are then interviewed backing the opening statement. They all agree on the state’s ability to defend all places of worship against attacks.
