Ibrāhīm talks about the massacre carried out by al-Qā‘idah because of the alleged Egyptian converts to Islam supposedly held by the Coptic Orthodox Church, as well as the group’s threats to Pope Shenouda III. He points out that these threats came at a very significant moment, with parliamentary elections approaching. Ibrāhīm says that it is almost impossible to rule out the timing as a mere coincidence. He also points out that Muslims should worry more about occupation of their countries by foreign forces than the alleged conversion of two women.
