A conference is set to be held today for reconciliation and forgiveness. It will be attended by Islamic and Coptic religious figures. Activist Najīb Jabrā‘īl said that the main goal is to clear the air after Bishop Bīshūy’s controversial comments. Jabrā‘īl accused the protestant church of evangelizing without the pope’s knowledge.
