The committee put together by the Supreme Council of Press called on journalists to honor their code of ethics and protect the nation from causers of fitnah atā’ifīyah. They expressed support of The Islamic Research Academy’s statement and Pope Shenouda III’s concern for national unity and determination to oppose fitnah.
