Nabeeh El-Wahsh filed an injunction to Pope Shenouda III requesting that the Pope remove Bishop Bishoy and Father Abdel Maseeh Baseet from their positions for making statements that could potentially cause sectarian strife. Demonstrations were held outside the Lawyers' Syndicate yesterday protesting Bishoy's statements, the Church's detention of Kamilia Shehata and Wafaa Costantine, and expressing support for Dr. Mohamed Selim El-Awa.
