Hani Labib’s book "Religious Protection Crisis" is different from other books written in the same respect in three respects. First, its solid scientific language, which in contrast to other demagogic writings is on both sides of the argument. Second, it tries to establish common ground between Copts and Muslims, in comparison to other writings, which work to abolish that unity. Third, it tries to reach a coexistence. It does not deny the Coptic issue but instead makes it part of a bigger Egyptian political problem, namely political liberalism.
