In conjunction with the tenth anniversary of the enthronement of Pope Tawāḍrūs II, the Holy Synod of the Coptic Orthodox Church concluded its annual seminar, which was held in the Monastery of Fr. Bishoy in Wādī El-Natrūn for four days and addressed the topic of “the societal role of the Coptic Church.” Pope Tawāḍrūs stressed that the church's societal role is very important and comes in the immediate next rank to its spiritual role, which is to prepare humans for heaven.
