The terrorist group Bayt al-Maqdis threatens the Coptic population of Northern Sinai and asks them for the last time to leave the border villages. The group receives its orders from IS to whom it pledged its allegiance. The recent killing of a Copt by members of the group further intimated the Coptic population and made Coptic women wear the hijab out of fear of suppression and harassment by the group. These developments in Sinai triggered the Egyptian government regime to start a broad campaign against the group.
