Erdoğan links improving of relations between Turkey and Egypt to the release of Mursī

 Recep Tayyip Erdoğan linked the improvement of relations with Egypt to the release of former President Mursī and the abolition of the sentences imposed to his followers. In a press statement, Erdoğan is reported to have said that Mursī should be released in quality of rightfully elected President. The contact between the two Countries deteriorated after the military coup d’état which deposed Mursī in July 2013. The Muslim Brotherhood has close ties with the Turkish Justice and Development Party founded by Erdoğan himself.

Al-Baghdādī commissions ISIL to carry out major operations to reduce pressure over “Bait al-Maqdis”

 Sources close to the Libyan Intelligence discovered encrypted messages by ISIL leader Abū Bakr al-Baghdādī in which he commissions members of the organization of Egyptian nationality in Libya to travel to Egypt in order to organize a major terroristic attack in the heart of Cairo to lighten the security grip over the Bait al-Maqdis organization which is confined in the Sinai peninsula.

Women Secretary of the Future of the Country Party resigns in Hurghada

 Muhammed Badrān, President of the Future of the Country Party announced that Iīmān al-Jaʿfarī, Women Secretary of the party in Hurghada, is resigning from her position in the party. He added that until now al-Jaʿfarī has not clarified the reasons behind her resignation. A source informed “Veto News” that al-Jaʿfarī’s resignation was submitted in solidarity with former Women Secretary of the party, Radwā al-Awdā, who previously resigned from her post.

The President of Sudan succeeds in building relations of trust between Egypt and Ethiopia

The issue of the Nile’s waters necessitates the development of an Egyptian- Sudanese cooperation in order to fulfill the interests of these two countries without neglecting the interests of the other Nile Basin countries. Egypt and Sudan signed the agreement of principles on Ethiopia’s Grand Renaissance Dam Project thanks to the effort and support provided by Sudanese President al-Bashīr.

Mass movement to remove the hijab splits Egypt into supporters and opponents

 The call of journalist Sharīf al-Shobashī for women to remove the headscarf has lead to the organisation of a mass demonstration in Tahrir Square. Comments on social media site Facebook show that opinions are divided on this matter. Some are in favour of removing the hijab on the basis of personal freedom whereas those who refuse the journalist’s call do so believe wearing the headscarf is a religious duty.
