One Hundred ministers, muftīs, and religious scholars participated in the conference’s first session, which was titled “The Role of Leaders and Decision-Makers in Spreading a Culture of Peace and Countering Terrorism and Challenges.” The session was headed by Dr. ‘Usāmah al-ʾAbd, who heads the Religion Committee in the Egyptian Parliament.
