The political [Coptic] activist George Ishāq, member of the National Salvation Front, said that the Egyptian State Television banned the broadcasting of a recorded interview with him on Channel One and al-Misriya Satellite channel. He was interviewed by “al-Akhir” or “The Last” TV Show hosted by Kāmil ‘Abd al-Fatāh. George said that the interview was banned because of his harsh criticism of the government, presidency, and leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood.

On the other side, ‘Alī Sayīd al-Ahl, head of Channel One, denied George’s accusations and said that the interview was not broadcast for technical errors (Ayman Mustafá and ‘Alī Kamāl, al-Sabāh, Feb. 16, p. 3). Read original text in Arabic
