Kees, Cornelis Hulsman, a prominent Dutch reporter who has been covering Egypt's news, especially those related to the Egyptian Coptic community since 1976. Hulsman is seen in the Netherlands as one of the one of the reference figures and experts in the Egyptian affairs. Hulsman is invited to attend parliament sessions and a wide public in the Netherlands and Europe know about Egypt's news and Egyptians from him. On May 9, 2011, a number of the members of the European Union [Translator's comment, I think the editor meant the European Parliament"] wanted to get acquainted with the conditions of Christian communities in some of the region's countries. They chose Hulsman who has an Egyptian wife to tell them about Egypt.
