Cornelis Hulsman: the problem with articles such as this one is that no distinction is made between Muslims as if all Muslims share the same convictions. Just as Christians are very diverse in what they believe so are Muslims. Of course there are Muslim scholars who state that Islam and democracy are incompatible but they are not the only ones representing Islam.
